<img src="×251 navigate to this site.png” alt=”Orlando Event Guide” width=”300″ height=”251″ class=”alignright size-medium wp-image-1538″ data-wp-pid=”1538″ />Save the spring cleaning for cleaning up that bucket list. As we welcome the Florida spring weather with open arms, it’s time to get up off of that thing and get out and into these top 5 Orlando Events for March 2015.

Top 5 Orlando Events – March 2015

1. Great Orlando Mixer

It’s going down yet again on March 26, 7-11 pm. The beautiful Cheyenne Station is being taken over by the roaring 20s. Get on your best flapper attire and join the largest cocktail party in Orlando. Just a few minutes of walking from the Amway Center, this is your chance to sample craft cocktails from Orlando’s best bartenders and be there as they crown one bartender the Great Orlando Mixer. Tickets are just $45. Buy yours here.

2. Orlando Chili Cook-Off

We were troopers last year and went out, umbrellas in hand, for this event and we still had a blast despite the gloomy weather. Basically, you pay $10 (pre-sale) to get in on March 7 and you go from elaborately-decorated tent to the next, sampling a variety of 60 chili recipes. There’s live music and voting for the best chili in town. Think you’ve got what it takes to be the World Chili Eating Champ? They’ve got that too, along with beer and wine to wash it all down. Children under 5 are free! Purchase tickets here.

3. Taste of Oviedo

Looking for something free? There’s no charge to get into the 21st annual Taste of Oviedo happening Saturday, March 14 between 10 am and 6 pm. Bring some cash to sample local specialties in the Citrus and Celery Cook-Off and be sure to have the kids tag along to see the “cirque” theme this year — equipped with face painters, extreme jugglers, a contortionist, aerial artists and more. Check out event details here.

4. Pints and Paws

If you’re going to drink, why not drink for a cause? The West End Trading Company is hosting its 4th annual Pints n’ Paws event March 22 in Sanford. It’s a craft beer festival where 100% of proceeds go to Pet Rescue by Judy and Dolly’s Foundation, two local pet charities helping pups and cats in the community. As I’m sure you’ve guessed, your four-legged family members are welcome too. If you have a particularly talented pet, you can enter them into the Paws Contests. Categories include: Best trick, best howl, and most original costume. Fetch your tickets here.

5. Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year (probably because it takes me about that long to hang new art on the walls and by the time I hang stuff up, the festival rolls around again and it’s time to get some more). March 20 – 22, stroll over to Park Ave to see local prints, paintings, sculptures and more from local artists around the state. Admission is free, but I doubt that you’ll get out without supporting one of these talented artists. Food and drinks available too. Don’t miss it. Get the details here.

We Have Some Cool Events Coming Up Too

If you haven’t heard yet, brace yourself. We’re mixing things up over the next few months with brand new tours including a walking tour out in College Park as well as a singles mixer (opening this month).
