  1. Zombie Outbreak:

Think you can survive a zombie outbreak? Now is your chance to prove your apocalyptic worth thanks to International Drive’s Zombie Outbreak! Armed with “fake” realistic state-of-the-art weaponry (150 rounds), groups of 4-5 participants will be sent into a zombie-filled facility to “stun” free roaming zombies (live actors – how cool!) to avoid getting bitten and turned. You better be quick – the walking dead only stay stunned for 5-7 seconds! The course takes approx. 10 -15 mins to clear. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Reservations recommended. Prices – $24.95 per person.

If you’re a resident, or happen to be visiting Orlando when Orlando City Soccer is playing a home game, you won’t want to miss out on the experience of a lifetime! Our local Orlando City sports heroes battle it out in their brand-new OCS stadium and guarantee an adrenaline-filled game for their die-hard fans. Be sure to check out the OCS game scheduleto verify when they’re in town and wear your purple with pride! Ladies – be advised you cannot bring your purses or bags into the stadium, so be sure to lock them in your car or leave them at home or at the hotel. Want to knock back a few glasses of wine but tired of going to the same old boring local bars? Check out Painting with a Twist! One of numerous locations available, the Winter Park location is one of our favs for a night out with the ladies (or gents). Grab your booze, your friends, and get ready to unleash your artsy and creative wild side. These fun instructor-led studio classes are the perfect blend of art and entertainment. You’ll be led step-by-step by one of their talented artists to create your very own masterpiece that you can take with you to showcase in your home. Check their schedule for painting choices and reserve your seat online or via phone. As a local that has been to Downtown Disney too many times to count, I was pleasantly surprised the first time I ventured over to the new Disney Springs, since the much-needed giant renovation. Tons of brand new exquisite retail shops, fun and fancy restaurants, and family entertainment venues have been added, as well as decent parking (those that remember the horror of Downtown Disney parking can relax – there’s plenty of free and convenient parking now available!). Be sure to stop by the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Bar where you can explore classic and exotic flavors from around the world. There’s even an adult beverage menu for the grownups – including flights! Prices vary.

  1. Orlando Dinner Theatres

You can’t really visit Orlando, FL the right way without enjoying one of our many long-running family dinner shows. Some of our favorites include Medieval Times, Capones, and Sleuths! Each dinner show venue includes their own unique theme (beautiful horses, jousting knights, singing mobsters, and mystery), excellent food, and quality entertainment. These local dinner shows are a great way to enjoy a family meal while being entertained by some of Orlando’s finest talent. Large group discounts and private parties are available. Prices vary & reservations are recommended.

  1. Universal City Walk – Orlando:

Aside from Universal City Walk Orlando being the gateway to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, it is also home to some of Orlando’s finest dining, shopping, and entertainment venues such as Hard Rock Café, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, Rising Star Karaoke Club, Pat O’ Brien’s Piano Bar, Emeril’s fine dining, Bob Marley’s – A Tribute to Freedom, and Blue Man Group. Not only are annual passes to the main parks available, but you can even add to your experience with vacation package add-ons (dining plans, photo packages, etc.) that can help you save time and money on your family vacation or weekend adventure. Reservations are recommended for certain venues – we suggest calling or emailing ahead of time just in case! Downside – parking is pricey, unless you have an annual pass! Restaurant & ticket prices vary.

  1. Fun Spot (Orlando / Kissimmee):

Fun Spot’s unique old-fashioned theme park and carnival atmosphere is bound to bring back some childhood memories.  Spend the day riding coasters (there’s kiddie rides for the youngins!), driving Go-Karts, and playing carnival games. You can even visit with Harvey and Lois, two huge gators, and other Florida Wildlife, at their new Gator Spot located at the Orlando Fun Spot location. Oh, and they have free parking! Season passes, two park passes for both parks, and single day tickets are available. Prices and perks vary.

  1. The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye:

Enjoy a breathtaking 360° view of Orlando like you’ve never seen it before with the Orlando Eye located on International Drive! Discover all the magic and wonder that Orlando has to offer “from above” in a calm and serene capsule attached to a 400-foot tall observation wheel. The Orlando Eye allows for a magnificent view of Central Florida, along with downtown Orlando’s skyline, lakes and landscapes, theme parks, and sometimes (with clear skies) even Cape Canaveral! Old Town, a local favorite in Kissimmee, is an excellent fun-filled break from the world of Mickey and Minnie. Not only does Old Town include plenty of bars and restaurants, unique and one-of-a-kind shops (Voodoo Rock ‘n Roll, Old Town Leather, and Wound ‘N Around are three personal favs!), but it also is home to family fun such as karaoke, classic car & monster truck shows, bike nights, family movie nights, and some of the most thrilling rides and attractions around. If you want to make your Old Town trip a more permanent memory, there’s even a tattoo shop – Ink Spot Tattoo! And don’t forget to visit Mortem Mansion for a spooky treat & scare! Parking is free.
