Top 5 Orlando Events February 2015

Things to Do In Orlando February 2015As we bask in our 80-degree January weather while everything up North receives 80 inches of snowfall, it’s time to turn some eyes to how we’re getting out of the house and enjoying our ‘Florida winter.’

Not so surprisingly, there are a lot of Orlando Events in February 2015 taking advantage of this warm winter, so making the list was a bit of a task. In either case, we made it happen just for you. Check it out…

Top 5 Orlando Events February 2015

1. Super Block Party

Forgot to make super bowl plans? Don’t worry. Make your way down to Wall Street Plaza for the big game. There’s no cover and the taps are pouring all night. The screen is a massive 16 footer AND it’s LED. Now, tell me, you were going to watch the game from your couch were you? Hurry over and get the details here. The big game’s tonight.

2. Universal Mardi Gras

Every year, without fail, we stalk the lineup. When you live in Central Florida and already get a discount on your pass, this is a no-brainer. With 16 headliners playing and a lineup of The All-American Rejects, Trey Songz, The Band Perry, Trace Adkins, American Authors, The B-52s, Bare Naked Ladies, Yandel, Jessie J… (sorry, I just needed to take a breather after all of that), how can you say no to one annual pass that gets you all of that? It all starts in early February and runs through March. For the lineup, go here:

3. Paws in The Park

Paws in the Park tops off Valentine’s Day with their annual pet walk fundraiser. It’s really a big party for 2-legged and 4-legged lovers (no fighters) alike. They have contests for the pups, food trucks, live demonstrations and more. There will even be a guest appearance by Animal Planet’s Victoria Stilwell. If you’ve never been, you’re probably scratching your head, but really, this event brings the crowds and is a staple every February. If you want to participate, register here.

4. Potted Potter

Whether you’re a member of the Gryffindor, Slytherin or Hufflepuff house, you’ll laugh your muggle butt off at the Harry Potter parody coming to the new Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. We’ve still yet to go to the new center, but we have heard great things about the venue and the show boasts a flattering review from The New York Times. Show kicks off February 3rd and runs until February 15th. Tickets start as low as $37.50. Buy tickets here.

5. Love Your Shorts

We’ve been out to this twice over the years and it’s a ton of fun. Basically, you show up in Sanford, watch the shorts, and vote on your favorites. Happening February 12th through the 15th. Learn more here.

Bonus Event: The Florida Strawberry Festival
We know that Plant City is a little way away from Orlando, but we just have to include it. Kicking off on February 26, this annual classic has a midway, shortcake, and live music. They have everyone from Boyz II Men to Alabama… See full event details here.

Now it’s all up to you…
